Shyam Mani

Chairman

Mani joined Tata Motors Finance in the year 2007 as the CEO & Managing Director of the company and during his 11 years of association with the company, he has transformed TMF into a strong captive financing arm of Tata Motors. Mani has played a key role in shaping the growth of the company both at strategic and visionary level. During his association with the company, he led the company towards growing the portfolio to a level of Rs.25000 cr. He led and oversaw a key restructuring exercise of the company, thereby setting it up for significant value creation in the coming years. His hands on approach coupled with astute leadership has made TMF win several accolades and awards in the last several years. Being a strong believer in analytics and technology, he set up the Analytics division of TMF in the year 2007, a first of its kind for any vehicle financing NBFC in India. He also championed several innovative business practices within the company in the areas of Insurance and used vehicle business. TMF was also one of the first companies to introduce the concept of Central Processing Centre (CPC) which was recognised by the Tata Group Innovation program.

Prior to joining TMF, Mani was the Vice President – Sales & Marketing for the Commercial Vehicles Business Unit of Tata Motors Limited (TML) and has had a very successful tenure being responsible for the Commercial and Marketing functions of the entire Business Unit spanning the complete range of products from M & HCV trucks to the highly successful ACE. Mani has led the successful growth in numbers as well as market shares of the BU and had been closely involved in new product introductions as well as in setting up and growing a large sales team. He has led the entire revamping and growth of the dealer network at TML.

Mani also served Tata Capital as Chief Operating Officer – Retail Finance prior to his stints with Tata Motors Finance.

Mani is an alumnus of IIT, Kanpur and he has a vast experience of over 40 years in the Industry spanning Manufacturing and Finance.

Vijay Somaiya

Director

Vijay Somaiya is currently the Vice-President and Head of Treasury & Investor Relations in Tata Motors Limited.

Vijay Somaiya has been associated with Tata Motors Limited (TML) since 1982. His post-graduate educational qualification comprises an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and a Chartered Financial Analyst Degree (CFA). Vijay Somaiya is also a Director on the TML Business Services Limited, Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited, Tata Precision Industries and TML Business Analytics Services Limited. He brings with him professional expertise acquired over a career span of more than three decades in the domain of International Business, Engineering and Finance.

Dr. Vaijayanti Pandit

Director

Dr. Vaijayanti Pandit is a Phd from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies in Women Entrepreneurship Development. She has a postgraduate degree in Political Science, topped the Pune University for graduation. She has a Diploma in Journalism with silver medals in Writing and Reporting.

Currently Advisor Welingkar Institute of Management, Dr. Pandit has been the Sr. Director in FICCI and has a long innings in the Indian Merchants' Chamber, She has travelled to over 40 countries for business promotion and buyer seller meets. She has also been the Vice President Adfactors PR.

She was commissioned by ILO for projects on Gender Empowerment and has been honoured by the Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar for outstanding research. Dr. Pandit has authored "Business@Home" (Vikas Publication) and "Everyday Yoga" Himalaya Publishing House.

G. V. Ramanan

Director

G. V. Ramanan is a solution-oriented Finance & Operations Leader with over two and half decades of work experience, including global exposure, in providing business, financial & operating leadership across a range of manufacturing & service industries. Currently he oversees the Group Controlling, Taxation and manages a large captive Shared Services Centre for Tata Motors Group. Prior to joining the TATA Group, Ramanan worked for General Electric Company with career spanning over 16 years with multiple Finance & Operational Leadership roles. He has worked in various roles in Operational Finance & Corporate Finance in IL&FS, PT Sainath Industrial Corp, Coca-Cola and NCR. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant. He has also completed the Strategic Finance Program from IMD, Switzerland.

M Ravichandran

Managing Director and CEO

M. Ravichandran comes with around three decades of experience in Insurance. He has been associated with Tata Group Companies since 2000. With an aim to grow retail and corporate business of Tata Motors Insurance Broking And Advisory Services Limited (TMIBASL), he joined the company as Managing Director & CEO in August 2017. Under his leadership the Company’s license was upgraded to Composite broker and it forayed into Corporate Insurance and Reinsurance business. TMIBASL is now a comprehensive Insurance Broking house with capability to service the entire breadth of Insurance products. Prior to this, he was associated with Tata AIG and the New India Assurance Company.
